60% of Companies say “Tokyo Olympic 2020 should be held” .

NHK conducts a survey of 100 Japanese companies related to Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic in coming Summer. 

More than half of the respondents say that “The scale of the event should be reduce” and “The event should be held with a little changes” and these two comprise 60 percent of the respondents. 

To be specific, 48 respondents(companies) say that “The scale of the event should be reduce” which is majority of the result while 13 companies answer “The event should be held with a little changes”.

When they asked the reason why they answer “Even should be held”, the answers are focus on the necessity to social and economic revitalization. The economy of Japan is shrinking due to Government policy against COVID-19. Some comment also says that they prefer to held the event without speculators. 

On the other hand, 3 respondents say that it is a huge risk for all of us to invite foreigners while the condition of every country is not yet returning to normal. Other says that it is essential that we should look at the condition of the virus before making decision.
